Military Adaptive Sports Virtual Challenge

WASHINGTON – The Military Adaptive Sports Virtual Challenge will be hosted virtually from September 13-17, 2021. The invitation-only virtual event will feature 11 challenges: archery, cycling, field, fit games, golf, indoor rowing, powerlifting, shooting, swimming, track, wheelchair basketball. Events will be live-streamed across social media platforms.

Teams include active-duty service members and veterans with upper-body, lower-body, and spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, visual impairment, serious illnesses and post-traumatic stress. The wounded warrior athletes will represent the Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy and Coast Guard, and Special Operations Command, as well as the Ukraine.

Join us in cheering on the Team Navy athletes! 14 athletes will represent Team Navy during the Military Adaptive Sports Virtual Challenge. Team Navy includes a combination of active duty and veteran Sailors and Coast Guardsmen.

Navy Wounded Warrior is the Navy’s sole organization for coordinating the non-medical care of seriously wounded, ill and injured Sailors and Coast Guardsmen and providing resources and support to their families. Military adaptive sports programs provide opportunities for wounded, ill and injured service member to use sports and fitness as unique means of rehabilitation and recovery.
